MVP has revealed his next goal in WWE.
After several years in various promotions such as NJPW and IMPACT Wrestling, MVP returned to WWE in the 2020 Men’s Royal Rumble match.
Meanwhile, Omos initially made his main roster debut as part of Raw Underground before he aligned with AJ Styles in 2020. The duo won the Raw Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 37 before losing to RK-Bro at SummerSlam 2021.
Following their loss and eventual split, Omos formed an alliance with MVP after losing to Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 38.
Speaking on Good Karma Wrestling, the former two-time United States Champion named guiding Omos to championship gold as his top goal in WWE right now. He said:
“I hope to accomplish one thing at this point in my career, and that is leading the Nigerian giant to championship gold. He knows what it is to be a winner. He’s been a winner his entire life.”
“Now, he’s made it to the WWE. I would say the NFL of professional wrestling, if you will, the absolute apex. No one is bigger, no one is stronger, and with my experience, and his aptitude, the WWE Championship, I would say that it’s an inevitability. We will get there, but it’s not easy.”
Montel Vontavious Porter went on to state that Roman Reigns is a top class wrestler and he is working on getting Omos to that level. He stated:
“I’m gonna discount the talents of anyone else in the WWE. You have some amazingly talented people. For example, Roman Reigns, who is the undisputed champion right now. We’re trying to get there, but intelligently, step by step.”
“The Nigerian giant Omos is smashing everyone in his path and the goal, my goal is to see him hoist the premiere championship in all of sports entertainment.”
MVP continued on to note that he is focused on getting Omos to the top, saying:
“I’m privileged and I’m honored to be able to, at this point in my career, take everything I’ve learned, over the 20 years that I’ve traveled around the globe, being a champion, all around the world, now I can all of that, the little things, the big things, my experiences, and I can channel that information into what is without question a future first-ballot Hall of Famer.”
Porter concluded by stating why he believes that Omos is capable of winning any title in the company, saying:
“I can take everything I’ve learned, and I can put that into a prospect like the Nigerian giant Omos, that gives me great joy. I know what I was able to accomplish, and if I was seven-foot-three, 416 pounds, I would have held every record in the WWE.”
“I would have held every championship. But I’m not. I’m only half man, half amazing. He is 100% amazing.”
“So I can take all of my experiences, put it into him, and I can live vicariously through the Nigerian giant Omos as we conquer the WWE Universe.”
