A new member of the Hurt Syndicate faction has been confirmed as of tonight’s May 14 episode of AEW Dynamite in Chicago.
The Hurt Syndicate – the group of MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, formerly the Hurt Business in WWE – debuted in AEW a number of months ago, with Lashley and Benjamin now the current AEW World Tag Team Champions.
However, for the past few weeks, there’s been a new potential member trying to get his way into the group, that being MJF.
MVP approved of MJF pretty much immediately as they have a history together – Benjamin took some more convincing, but did eventually come around to the idea.
The sticking point though was Lashley, who has been very much against the idea of letting MJF into the group.
Tonight’s AEW Dynamite saw Lashley make his final decision on whether he approves of MJF – and it turns out, he does.
MJF got a thumbs up from all three Hurt Syndicate members, indicating they accept him becoming their fourth man.
Next week, there will be a contract signing segment to make the move ‘official’.
For those wondering, the fourth WWE Hurt Business member, Cedric Alexander, did not make his AEW debut on tonight’s show after becoming a free agent a few days ago.
