A new AEW signee is set to make their AEW Dynamite in-ring debut on this Wednesday’s January 17 episode.
On the January 3 edition of AEW Dynamite, Deonna Purrazzo officially announced her arrival in All Elite Wrestling after interrupting Mariah May.
Purrazzo immediately put AEW Women’s World Champion Timeless Toni Storm on notice that she was coming for the title.
On January 16, Tony Khan announced that Deonna Purrazzo will make her AEW Dynamite in-ring debut as a signed talent, taking on Anna Jay on this Wednesday’s show.
Timeless Toni Storm will be joining the commentary team to be on the call for the bout.
Purrazzo previously competed on the May 4, 2022 episode of Dynamite, when she lost the ROH Women’s Championship to Mercedes Martinez, but wasn’t signed with AEW at the time.
Purrazzo made her official in-ring debut for the company as a signed talent in a win over Red Velvet on the January 13 episode of AEW Collision.
Meanwhile, Anna Jay is coming off a loss to TBS Champion Julia Hart at AEW Battle of the Belts IX.
It remains to be seen when and if Purrazzo will get a shot at Storm’s gold at the time of this writing.
This week’s show will also feature an AEW World Championship match, with HOOK challenging Samoa Joe for the title.
