AEW
An update has emerged regarding a brand new AEW tag team which formed at Saturday’s All Out pay-per-view in Toronto, Canada. (September 20).
One of the most anticipated moments at AEW All Out for many fans was Eddie Kingston’s return to in-ring action following a 16 month injury layoff.
Taking on Big Bill in singles action after being called out by his fellow New Yorker on AEW TV, Kingston received a huge ovation from the fans inside the Scotiabank Arena, and followed that up by picking up a win in his in-ring return.
However, after the bell Kingston was jumped by Bill’s tag team partner Bryan Keith, and was outnumbered until HOOK came to Kingston’s defense.
In a backstage interview following his return, Kingston discussed his new partnership with HOOK, crediting the second-generation star with helping him keep going through his lengthy absence.
Kingston said:
“This is real, just like what I speak and say to you guys is real, 15 months was a long hard journey. And without people like HOOK, without people like Ortiz, without people like my mentor Homicide…
“Without them I wouldn’t be here today. I wouldn’t be here still fighting , still living a dream of a nine-year-old kid from Yonkers, New York.
“But now here’s the other problem for everyone else: I’ve got this man with me now. My dude. Youngblood’s ready to go. Youngblood is ready to go. Queens, Yonkers, 730 type shit right here baby.
“Everyone is in trouble.”
