New Bobby Lashley Plans Revealed After Bray Wyatt WrestleMania 39 Match Canceled

New Bobby Lashley Plans Revealed After Bray Wyatt WrestleMania 39 Match Canceled WWE

The new direction for Bobby Lashley looks to have been revealed after plans for a match against Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 39 fell through.

Wyatt became ill a number of weeks ago forcing him to be pulled from TV, and WWE didn’t come up with a new opponent for Lashley at Mania.

Instead, he won the Andre The Giant Memorial battle royal on the pre-Mania SmackDown, and his only role at Mania itself was a brief celebration with the Andre trophy on the stage.

Lashley was back on Raw last night (April 3) though, and he seems to have his next opponent lined up.

That man is Bronson Reed, who was the runner-up to Lashley in the aforementioned battle royal.

In a backstage interview on Raw, Lashley spoke about his frustration at not having a match on the Mania card, before Reed walked in and cut him off.

After a brief confrontation, Lashley suggested a match on Raw, but Reed said he “couldn’t do” this week, but it’ll happen “eventually”.

Lashley did pick up a quick win over Mustafa Ali last night instead.

When WWE announced matches for next week’s April 10 Raw, there was no announcement of Lashley vs Reed, so we may have to wait longer than that.

One match that was announced for next week’s Raw was The Miz vs Matt Riddle, the latter of whom returned last night after being out since December.

The only other match set is a Women’s Tag Team Championship match with Becky Lynch and Lita defending against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

There were changes to plans for the women last night as Vince McMahon was back in charge running the show, which you can read about at this link.

If you were wondering, there was no mention of Wyatt last night.
