On last Wednesday’s edition of NXT, General Manager William Regal announced the introduction of the brand new championship, which paved the way for one EC3 to make his debut (return if you want to be smart about it) on WWE‘s ‘developmental’ brand.
Regal went on to add that the title will be in the balance this coming Saturday at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, and EC3 will have to fend off five other men in a ladder match if he wants to become the inaugural NXT North American Champion.
The other competitors in the ladder match will be the ‘Beast of Belfast’ Killian Dain, the ‘Freak’ Lars Sullivan, Velveteen Dream, the leader of the Undisputed Era Adam Cole, and the ‘One and Only’ Ricochet.
Are you a fan of the design of the NXT North American Championship? Who do you think will capture the gold in New Orleans this Saturday? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter here, and as always, have a spiffing Rusev Day.
