It seems AEW may well be planning its next Blood & Guts match between The Jericho Appreciation Society (JAS) and The Blackpool Combat Club (and friends).
On last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, JAS were in the ring running down Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz, which brought out Jon Moxley, who is Kingston’s BFF4L.
JAS kept running down everyone because they’re mean, which brought out Kingston, Santana, Ortiz, Wheeler Yuta, Bryan Danielson and William Regal.
That made it seven on five, and the two groups brawled, a brawl which ended with William Regal bonking Chris Jericho on the head.
Following the brawl, AEW has announced Regal and Jericho will go face to face next week, which has led to a lot of speculation that this is leading to a Blood & Guts match.
During his time in NXT, Regal was famed for his WarGames announcements, and as Blood & Guts is AEW’s closest stipulation to WarGames, surely he’ll be announcing it? With AEW Double or Nothing just a few weeks away, perhaps another huge match will be announced.
The other option is a Stadium Stampede match if they are planning on doing five-on-five. The reason it’s five rather than seven for team BCC is that William Regal is too injured to take any more bumps ever, and Yuta will be in Japan for the Best of the Super Juniors Tournament.
If we hear anything else regarding a potential Blood & Guts match, we will of course let you know.
