NJPW King of Pro Wrestling full card revealed

New Japan Pro Wrestling has revealed the full card for their next show King of Pro Wrestling on October 8th. Two matches were confirmed at Fighting Spirit Unleashed and now the remainder of the card has been announced, with few surprises.

Already announced for King of Pro Wrestling were the finals of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship tournament between KUSHIDA and Marty Scurll and the main event.

The main event will be New Japan‘s first three-way match for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship since 2005, as Kenny Omega will defend the title against Kota Ibushi and Cody.

The other singles matches on the show will be the anticipated clash between Jay White and Hiroshi Tanahashi, with Tanahashi’s Tokyo Dome IWGP Heavyweight Championship Challenge Rights Certificate on the line, and EVIL taking on Zack Sabre Jr.

White pinned Tanahashi at Fighting Spirit Unleashed and proclaimed that he should already have the briefcase because he was the only person to pin Tanahashi in the G1 Climax. EVIL and Zack Sabre Jr. have had a developing rivalry as of late with Sabre consistently getting the upper-hand.

The other notable match at King of Pro Wrestling will be an eight-man tag match between Los Ingobernables de Japon and Chaos where LIJ will reveal a new member of their stable.

Tetsuya Naito announced in a YouTube video that LIJ will be moving forward while they wait for the return of Hiromu Takahashi and they will be doing so by adding a new member. This will be the first time that LIJ has added a new member since Hiromu joined the faction nearly two years ago.

The new member will team with Naito, Sanada and Bushi to face Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano, SHO and YOH.

• The Young Bucks, Hangman Page and Chase Owens vs. Guerillas of Destiny, Bad Luck Fale and Taiji Ishimori

• IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match: El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Jushin Thunder Liger and Tiger Mask
