AEW president made his most recent in a growing list of ‘major announcements’ on last night’s (April 20) episode of AEW Dynamite, when he announced an upcoming AEW x NJPW SuperShow entitled ‘Forbidden Door’.
The event is scheduled for June 26 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, and fans have already begun speculating about what could take place that night.
One of AEW’s most notable names, CM Punk, is from Chicago, with the United Center being the arena he made his return to wrestling at eight months ago.
Many names have been touted as potential opponents for Punk on the show, but one in particular being former IWGP United States Champion KENTA, who took to Twitter to tease a clash with Punk at the event, saying:
GIVE ME #G2SvsGTS
No matches have been announced for the Forbidden Door show as of yet, and the possibilities are endless for what could go down that night in Chicago.
