NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 Results: WWE & AEW Stars In Action NJPW

Here are the results from NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17, which aired from the Tokyo Dome on January 4, 2023.

The show was a huge event, with current WWE and AEW stars appearing on the show.

WWE’s Karl Anderson notably dropped his NEVER Openweight Championship to Tama Tonga, in what could be the conclusion to WWE and NJPW’s brief working relationship.

AEW stars FTR also were defeated for their gold, with Bishamon besting them for their IWGP Tag Team Title.

AEW EVP Kenny Omega won NJPW gold during the show, defeating Ospreay to become a two-time IWGP US Champion.

Other titles that changed hands included the IWGP Jr Heavyweight Championship, which Hiromu Takahashi won in a fourway bout, and the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, which Kazuchika Okada pinned Jay White for in the main event of the show.

Former WWE star Sasha Banks also made her NJPW debut as ‘Mercedes Mone’, confronting IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI
