Number One Contenders For WWE Women’s Tag Titles Announced

Remember when Paige turned up on SmackDown and introduced a new tag team of Asuka and Kairi Sane? WWE doesn’t.

Remember how they were on TV for a couple of weeks and then disappeared seemingly into a black hole? Me too, but it turns out they are still alive!

Paige and her Kabuki Warriors (yes, they’re still called that) appeared to tell everyone that they will take on Women’s Tag Team Champions, The IIconics at a house show in Japan next week. If they win the match, they will become the number one contenders for the belts that WWE has completely lost interest in.

Asuka will also take part in a triple threat with Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss while on the Japanese tour.
