A new report has revealed the NWA’s reaction to WWE NXT moving to The CW Network.
On November 7, WWE announced that the company had agreed to a five-year agreement with The CW Network to bring the program over starting October 2024.
This news followed recent reports and rumours that NWA were in talks with CW to bring two programs over to the network. However, talks were halted after a recent controversial segment on a NWA PPV.
Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that talent that they spoke to were surprised by the announcement.
One NWA talent said they were blindsided by the news of WWE NXT heading to The CW.
The report notes that word was NWA was working on a deal with CW, but WWE sources do not expect that to happen at this point following the completion of their deal.
An update was also provided on what day NXT will air on The CW Network, which you can read at this link.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on WWE NXT moving to CW when they become available.
