NXT Dusty Rhodes Classic Bracket Revealed

NXT has confirmed the bracket for the third Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The eight teams are in the following configuration:

Quarter Finals
Street Profits vs. Heavy Machinery
Tino Sabbatelli & Riddick Moss vs. SAnitY (Young &  Wolfe)
TM61 vs. Authors of Pain
Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch vs. Moustache Mountain

The reveal is bad news for The Forgotten Sons (Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler), who did a promo at the recent NXT tapings declaring their involvement in the tournament, yet are not included in the bracket.

Of note is the first round match between TM61 and Authors of Pain, which is a repeat of the final in November 2016, which was won by AoP.

Those tandems are two of five returning to the tournament, with Moss & Sabbatelli, SAnitY and Heavy Machinery all involved in the 2016 competition.

Three of the quarter final bouts have already been filmed, with the Authors of Pain, SAnitY and The Street Profits making it through to the semi final stage. AoP will meet either Moustache Mountan or Lorcan & Burch in the semis while SAnitY meet Street Profits.

It has been announced that the winners of the tournament will meet NXT Tag Team Champions Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish of The Undisputed Era at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans
