NXT Star Claims He Was Released After Coronavirus Comments

Recently released NXT trainer Kendo Kashin has revealed he believes he was released after he made comments about the current Coronavirus pandemic.

Shortly before his release, Kashin made comments about not having health insurance with WWE. He had been with the company since August 2019, and is now stuck in the US after issues with his Visa.

He also said that he believes WWE’s decision to furlough so many staff will significantly impact any plans to start a Japanese promotion such as NXT Japan.

Kashin spoke to Tokyo Sports around two weeks before he was released, and it was in this interview that he said he would be in a lot of trouble if he was to catch Coronavirus, as he did not have health insurance with WWE, and US medical bills are famously high.

Kashin wasn’t the only NXT trainer who was part of the mass release, as Serena Deeb and Ace Steel also found themselves on the chopping block.

Here is every NXT star or trainer who was released this week.
