NXT returned to Full Sail University off the back of a memorable TakeOver: Chicago II supercard and a jaunt to London (for some) for the next set of TV tapings, which will set the brand on its way to TakeOver: Brooklyn IV.
The direction for TakeOver became clear, with Tommaso Ciampa set up as Aleister Black’s next challenger, Kairi Sane thrust into the women’s title picture, EC3 and Veleveteen Dream setting up a possible program, and The Undisputed Era reclaiming the tag straps they lost at the Royal Albert Hall.
