NXT UK Stars Invade WWE Smackdown Tonight

As part of WWE’s European tour, Friday Night Smackdown is being taped ahead of time from the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

On the show already, we have seen New Day defeat The Revival to capture the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. In the process, Kofi and Big E became seven-time champs.

After the match, Heavy Machinery made their way down to the ring for a tag team match of their own. Before their opponents came out, Otis and Tucker were attacked by NXT UK stars Imperium.

This is the first main roster appearance for Fabian Aichner, Marcel Barthel and WALTER. Alexander Wolfe obviously appeared on Smackdown previously as part of SaniTY.

WALTER was reportedly very over with the UK crowd. This shouldn’t be surprising, as the WWE United Kingdom Champion has done a lot on the British independent scene.

During the angle, Imperium were chased off by members of the Smackdown roster. It is currently not known whether NXT UK will be represented at Survivor Series now, especially considering Imperium have appeared in NXT in recent weeks.
