Original Planned Members For WWE Faction Revealed

Dakota Kai has revealed the initial pitch for Damage CTRL, naming the stars Bayley wanted in the original lineup.

After her release earlier in the year, Kai returned to WWE at SummerSlam, aligning herself with Bayley and IYO SKY.

Since joining the faction, Kai and SKY have won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on two separate occasions.

Speaking on the Getting Over podcast, Kai revealed that Bayley had first pitched the group years ago, with a different lineup.

Noting that Bayley originally had Raw star Candice LeRae and former WWE star Tegan Nox in mind for the stable, Kai said:

“When (Bayley) first mentioned it to me a couple of years (ago)…it was myself, Candice LeRae and Tegan (Nox.)

“Those were the ones that were from the start. And obviously things that happened from then until now, everything changes.”

Kai also noted that a more recent nixed pitch would’ve seen SKY, Alba Fyre and Raquel Rodriguez in the group.

Damage CTRL were on the losing end of the women’s WarGames bout at Survivor Series, with Kai, Bayley, SKY, Nikki Cross and Rhea Ripley defeated by the team of Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim and Becky Lynch.
