The results for the 2021 Wrestling Observer Newsletter awards were revealed today, with many of AEW’s stars celebrating their victory on social media.
One AEW talent who won an award was Excalibur, who was named ‘Television Announcer of the Year’, beating out his fellow announce team, as well as WWE’s announcers like Michael Cole and Jimmy Smith.
Pat McAfee was another name who Excalibur beat in the polls, and McAfee took the time to congratulate Excalibur on his victory. He said:

Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega won the coveted award for Wrestler of the Year for 2021.
