A new report has revealed plans for 2023 and 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes on tonight’s February 2 edition of WWE SmackDown.
At WWE Royal Rumble 2024, Cody Rhodes made history by winning his second straight Men’s Royal Rumble match, last eliminating CM Punk.
Following his win, Rhodes made it clear that he intended on choosing Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns to face in a rematch at WrestleMania 40.
However, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins confronted Cody to try to convince his former rival to choose him and his title for the main event of WrestleMania on the January 29 episode of WWE Raw.
Ahead of the February 2 edition of WWE SmackDown, the company announced that Cody Rhodes will go face-to-face with Roman Reigns on tonight’s show.
This will be the two men’s first in-ring confrontation since the Raw After WrestleMania 39 and Reigns beating Rhodes to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
It remains to be seen if “The American Nightmare” will make his WrestleMania decision on tonight’s broadcast.
