Possible Delay For WWE SmackDown? WWE

A new report has revealed a possible delay for tonight’s Friday, March 15 edition of WWE SmackDown from Memphis.

UPDATE: Despite this news, SmackDown actually started on time tonight.

The March 15 episode of WWE SmackDown will take place from Memphis, Tennessee and will feature The Rock returning to the city to address his WrestleMania 40 tag team match.

The show will be very important on the road to Mania as it follows Cody Rhodes slapping “The Great One” on last week’s broadcast. However, it seems that fans may have to wait a little longer to see the fallout from last week’s show.

Ahead of tonight’s SmackDown, WrestleVotes reported that there may be a slight delay on tonight’s Fox broadcast of SmackDown due to the Big East tournament. The tweet reads:

Being told this info in real time: FOX is currently airing a Big East tournament game, with a pre scheduled post game show still to air.

We are told #SmackDown will begin at the normal time live in Memphis and will be shown in its entirety on FOX. It is very possible tonight’s show will be on a slight tape delay.

Also announced for tonight’s episode, Bayley will face Dakota Kai in a grudge match and Randy Orton will go one-on-one with Grayson Waller.
