Speaking on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided a potential reason as to why WWE released several 205 Live wrestlers yesterday.
Among the releases were Ariya Daivari, Tony Nese and The Bollywood Boyz, all of whom have been part of the 205 Live roster for several years, and Meltzer notes that their age and longevity could have contributed to their releases.
Meltzer goes on to say that WWE is looking “to bring in younger and bigger guys” right now, meaning the older members of the 205 Live roster like Nese, Daivari and The Bollywood Boyz were easy casualties for the latest cuts.
However, what doesn’t make too much sense is the releases of August Grey and Curt Stallion, considering both former EVOLVE stars only signed with WWE last year and were both regularly featured on 205 Live.
Moreover, Grey and Stallion are 27 and 30 respectively, so it’s not like they are old in comparison to the other members of the roster,
