There is a possible spoiler revealed for a high-stakes AEW match coming up.
As previously noted, Andrade El Idolo tweeted today that he will be unable to work with NJPW for the upcoming Forbidden Door event thanks to his association with AAA and the company’s issues with CMLL.
Per LuchaBlog, this has been confirmed and it appears more talent will not be booked for the event for similar reasons as well.
The report reads:
I’ve since been told Andrade was booked on Forbidden Door and is no longer booked on Forbidden Door. Fenix & Penta will also not be appearing on Forbidden Door, as confirmed to me by multiple sources. Andrade’s tweet should be taken at face value. This is bad for everyone.
If the report is right, this spoils the upcoming Malakai Black vs. Penta Oscuro matchup in the AEW All-Atlantic Championship tournament.
With Penta not booked for Forbidden Door, he shouldn’t be expected to defeat Black and be in the four-way match to determine the new champion.
