A potential spoiler has emerged on plans for WWE to split a tag-team ahead of Friday’s (June 16) edition of SmackDown.
The futures of several WWE teams are currently up in the air right now, with break-ups teased on both Raw and SmackDown.
A new report has indicated that there will be more dissension within Damage CTRL on this week’s SmackDown, with WRKD Wrestling sharing the following note ahead of this week’s show:
Tensions rise between IYO (SKY)/Bayley
The third member of the group, Dakota Kai, has been out of action since she and Bayley unsuccessfully challenged for the Women’s Tag Team Championship on the May 12 SmackDown.
Kai reportedly suffered a torn ACL in this bout.
Another group which has imploded in recent weeks is the Bloodline, with Jimmy Uso attacking Roman Reigns at Night of Champion, leading to Reigns ordering Solo Sikoa to attack Jimmy on the following episode of SmackDown.
Ahead of Jey Uso definitively deciding where his loyalties lie, WRKD Wrestling provided an update on plans for the Bloodline storyline, stating that on the upcoming episode, Reigns’ match for the Money in the Bank premium live event will become clear.
