PROGRESS Wrestling Advertise “Biggest Match” In Company History

England’s PROGRESS Wrestling has just announced via their Twitter account the “biggest match” in the history of the promotion. On May 5 at Alexandra Palace in London, England, there will be a title unification match between World Champion WALTER and Atlas Champion Trent Seven.

The bout will take place during Day Two of the Super Strong Style 16 event. As it is one of Europe’s biggest wrestling tournaments, it seems a fitting venue for such a match to take place.

No matter who wins this one, the PROGRESS Wrestling Atlas Championship seems destined to die a mere three years since it was first introduced in 2016. Since then, it has been proudly worn by inaugural winner Rampage Brown, NXT’s Matt Riddle, Doug Williams, WALTER himself, and, of course, Trent Seven.

As a “big man’s” title, only being contested between men over 205 pounds, the Atlas Championship is relatively unique in modern wrestling and will be dearly missed. Fans have come out in numbers on PROGRESS Wrestling’s post to announce their dismay for the impending loss.
