A replacement commentator on tonight’s WWE SmackDown was revealed for the big ‘Tribute To The Troops’ edition of the Friday night show.
On tonight’s WWE SmackDown (December 8), WWE celebrated American Military servicemembers with a “Tribute to the Troops” episode.
On commentary for tonight’s show, none other than a WWE legend and the man who credited with creating the Tribute To The Troops concept, John Bradshaw Layfield – JBL.
JBL took the place of Corey Graves who had recently taken a couple of weeks off after the birth of his child with Carmella, although he did actually return last week.
Graves’ real life wife and fellow WWE star Carmella gave birth to their first child together, a son named Dimitri, on November 8, 2023.
CBS Sports’ Brad Nessler also made an appearance tonight to call the Bobby Lashley vs Karrion Kross match alongside JBL, Michael Cole and Kevin Patrick.
Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE SmackDown, Randy Orton is set to team with LA Knight for the first time in the main event of the show against two members of the Bloodline.
Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa will be representing the Bloodline when they take on the returning Viper and his newest tag team partner, Knight.
Also set for the Tribute to the Troops edition of SmackDown, appearances by Cody Rhodes and CM Punk.
