It was reported earlier this week that Braun Strowman had been pulled from a WWE Live Event show after suffering back spasms, but plans are reportedly in place for him to have a major title match at this weekend’s TLC show.
The initial report was that it was a relatively minor injury and would only require a few days of rehab, and that the injury actually took place ahead of last week’s SmackDown show.
Dave Meltzer reports that Strowman was supposed to feature in a segment with Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, but was pulled as a result of this injury.
It isn’t clear whether Strowman has recovered from the injury, but initial reports suggested he should be back for this week’s show.
The current TLC card (which you can see below) only features 7 matches, which is 2 or 3 fewer than WWE would generally put on the show, so the hope will be that Strowman is able to compete on Friday and at this weekend’s PPV.
If he can return for Friday, he and Nakamura will likely feature in a segment to build the match, because nothing says B Pay-Per-View quite like a two day build.
We will bring you any updates on Braun’s condition when they become available.
