Report: Inductee For WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2023 Revealed

A new report has revealed an inductee for the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2023.

In years past, WWE has announced their inductees for the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania weekend as early as after the Royal Rumble premium live event.

This year, things have been different. With the event just three weeks away, the company has yet to announce any legends for the ceremony.

Per PWInsider, The Great Muta will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2023 on Friday, March 31. Muta is the alter ego of legendary Japanese wrestler Keiji Muto.

WWE will reportedly begin to announce the inductees on tonight’s March 10 episode of SmackDown.

Although The Great Muta has never wrestled for WWE, he did participate in the NJPW & WWF Champions Series in Japan back in 1985 and often competed for NWA and WCW in the late 80s into the 90s.

Muta was a former WCW Tag Team Champion and also had a legendary rivalry with Sting over the NWA World Television Championship.

On January 1, 2023, The Great Muta had his last singles match against WWE star Shinsuke Nakamura.

His last official match under the persona took place later that same month when he teamed with AEW’s Sting and Darby Allin against AKIRA, Hakushi and Naomichi Marufuji.

Keiji Muto finally concluded his career this year with a pair of Tokyo Dome matches against NJPW’s Tetsuya Naito and legendary rival Mashiro Chono at the Keiji Muto Grand Final event on February 21.
