Report: WWE Not Happy About AEW Using Billy Gunn On Dynamite

All Elite Wrestling has revealed that Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) will be appearing on this week’s episode of Dynamite to present the winner of the Hangman Adam Page vs. MJF match with the Dynamite Diamond Ring.

Hangman Page and MJF qualified for the match this week by being the two remaining wrestlers in a twelve-man battle royale that took place on last week’s show.

In what was a rather cool moment, WWE Hall of Famer Billy Gunn appeared in the match. Gunn has been working backstage for AEW, but this was his first match for the company.

According to reports from Fightful, WWE is reportedly not happy about Gunn appearing and using his WWE name on AEW TV last week.

“There were comments about Billy Gunn using his WWE name on AEW Dynamite — more in the sense of displeasure among WWE as opposed to something that would lead to legal action.”

It was reported yesterday that WWE was considering taking legal action against AEW to prevent the new promotion from putting on a Bash at the Beach show in January 2020.

Fightful is reporting that WWE is not considering taking legal action against AEW for Gunn using his WWE name on the show. However, they are certainly far from happy.
