Things have not been going well for WWE as of late. From the COVID-19 outbreak at the Performance Center to record-low ratings, things are a little rocky as they prepare for Raw tonight. Now, it is being reported that the plans for tonight’s show have been thrown out.
Dave Meltzer reported that the script for tonight’s show was torn up last night. This has led to the show having to be rewritten. As a result, the taping of the show was delayed from 1:00 pm eastern to 3:00 pm eastern as reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider.
Meltzer also stated the reason behind the change was plans changing backstage and some talent not being available. The reports have not stated which talent were unavailable for tonight’s show. Rey Mysterio and Kairi Sane’s contracts have made news and Apollo Crews was absent from Extreme Rules for COVID-19 related reasons.
Prior to today, the only match WWE had announced for Raw was Randy Orton vs. Big Show. The two will be having an Unsanctioned Match to continue Orton’s Legend Killer ascent. It appears this match has not been changed by the rewrites. It was then announced earlier today that Seth Rollins will take on Aleister Black tonight.
