Details have emerged on if UK promotion Revolution Pro Wrestling will be involved with AEW’s UK debut.
AEW will make its anticipated UK debut in 2023, with the company preparing to host a show in London.
With the company about to break into a new market, some have wondered whether the event will feature any local names, or showcase any UK promotions.
Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro), who have worked with AEW in the past, have revealed that they’d be open to do business with AEW again.
On Twitter, RevPro was asked if the promotion will be involved with AEW’s UK visit.
Noting that nothing is set in stone as of writing, RevPro replied:
“We haven’t had any conversations in that direction, but they know where we are and that we’re always happy to do good business!”
RevPro notably hosted the first-ever defence of the AEW All-Atlantic Championship, with PAC defending the gold against Shota Umino at the July 10 Live In Sheffield event.
PAC returned to defend the gold against Connor Mills at the July 23 Summer Sizzler show.
The UK promotion notably has a partnership with NJPW, with their Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship previously prominently featured on NJPW shows.
This title has not only been defended, but has changed hands at NJPW events, the most recent instance of this being when Zack Sabre Jr defeated Hiromu Takahashi for the gold at the 2019 NJPW Destruction In Beppu show.
The most recent NJPW star to hold the gold, Will Ospreay, dropped the title to current champion Ricky Knight Jr in August. A member of the Knight family dynasty, Ricky Knight Jr is the nephew of AEW star Saraya.
Saraya previously noted that she wants to have her family compete at the upcoming AEW UK tapings.
We haven't had any conversations in that direction, but they know where we are and that we're always happy to do good business! https://t.co/acgl1NCgpI
