Another Big WrestleMania 39 Match Announced

WWE officially confirmed another big match for WrestleMania 39 next weekend during tonight’s March 24 edition of SmackDown.

In a match that started being built way back in September, it was made official that Dominik Mysterio will indeed face his father Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 39.

For weeks, Rey has rejected the idea of fighting his own son, but tonight, Dominik pushed him too far.

First Dominik cost Rey his match against LA Knight (yes, LA Knight actually won a match!), but it was the events after the match that led to the Mania match being announced.

Dom got in his mother’s face and told her shut up, as well as calling his sister Aalyah “stupid”, and that’s where Rey drew the line.

Rey finally decked his son with a punch and accepted his challenge to a match at WrestleMania, which was quickly made official by WWE.

The night before Mania, Rey Mysterio will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by Dominik’s godfather Konnan.
