Rey Mysterio’s WWE Rivals Poke Fun After Santos Escobar Betrayal WWE

A pair of Rey Mysterio’s former rivals have poked fun at the Hall of Famer following his betrayal at the hands of Santos Escobar on the November 10 SmackDown.

After Santos Escobar’s questionable actions at Crown Jewel 2023 which led to Rey Mysterio losing the WWE United States Championship, the LWO’s newest recruit Carlito put Escobar to task.

This led to a heated confrontation, and after Carlito was defeated by Bobby Lashley in the SmackDown opener, Escobar would turn on Mysterio, shoving him into the ring post and kicking his leg that was trapped between the ring and the steel ring steps.

While the other members of the LWO and Escobar were wrought with emotion following the incident, other WWE stars were clearly seeing the amusing side of the drama.

Posting to Twitter, WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley would lay the blame on Mysterio for Escobar’s betrayal, saying:

At this point @reymysterio… I think YOU might be the problem

Not one to miss out, the current United States Champion Logan Paul would reply to Ripley’s tweet in agreement at the Eradicator’s assessment, saying:

Totally agree

Adding insult to injury Ripley would also change both her profile and cover image on Twitter to that of Escobar’s attack on Mysterio.

Mysterio had begun the night by stating his intentions to receive a rematch for Paul’s US Championship, however, now with these latest developments that does not seem to be Mysterio’s greatest concern anymore.
