A big championship change took place on tonight’s (September 30) NXT No Mercy premium live event.
On the show, Trick Williams captured his first championship in his WWE career, dethroning ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio to win the NXT North American Championship.
Dominik had been defending the North American Championship on both NXT and the main roster, recently defending the title against Dragon Lee on Raw this past Monday.
With this loss, Mysterio becomes the only member of the Judgment Day without a championship, and his stablemates weren’t too happy to see him lose.
Taking to Twitter after the loss, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley reacted to Dom’s defeat, simply writing:
YOU’RE F’N KIDDING ME!… #NXTNoMercy
Damian Priest also reacted to the loss, simply responding to Rhea’s tweet with a gif of him looking unimpressed from this year’s SummerSlam show.
Priest and Balor reign as the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, and are set to appear on next week’s SmackDown show.
Rhea has been out of action since she was attacked by Nia Jax following her Women’s World Championship defence against Raquel Rodriguez.
