Following the news of the WWE Hall of Famer’s death, tributes have poured in from throughout the wrestling and entertainment world.

Among the names to comment on Hogan’s passing was fellow icon of pro wrestling throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Ric Flair, who took to Twitter to write:

I Am Absolutely Shocked To Hear About The Passing Of My Close Friend @HulkHogan!

Hulk Has Been By My Side Since We Started In The Wrestling Business. An Incredible Athlete, Talent, Friend, And Father! Our Friendship Has Meant The World To Me.

He Was Always There For Me Even When I Didn’t Ask For Him To Be. He Was One Of The First To Visit Me When I Was In The Hospital With A 2% Chance Of Living, And He Prayed By My Bedside. Hulk Also Lent Me Money When Reid Was Sick.

Hulkster, No One Will Ever Compare To You! Rest In Peace My Friend!

Ric Flair’s daughter Charlotte Flair offered her own tribute, also commenting on Hogan’s friendship to her father when he was in poor health eight years ago:

When I nearly lost my dad 8 years ago, one of the few people who was there for all of it was Hulk Hogan.

My heart breaks for Nick and Brooke.

Rest in peace, brother

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H also paid tribute to Hogan via Twitter, hailing his contributions to the wrestling business and WWE:

WWE would not be where it is today without the larger-than-life characters that compete in the ring … and few, if any, loomed larger than Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea.

He was the archetype of what it meant to be a “Superstar” – a global sensation that inspired millions to work hard at whatever it was they wanted to accomplish and a look that made him recognizable to fans around the world.

Hulk Hogan, clad in red and yellow or nWo black and white, was simply put, iconic. As a Real American or the leader of one of the industry’s biggest factions, he transcended and elevated the entire business to heights never before seen – in every country and on every continent.

There was no one like The Hulkster and there very well may never be another. My family sends their condolences to his family, friends, and fans.

The Undertaker, who won his very first WWE Championship from Hulk Hogan at Survivor Series 1991, also hailed Hogan’s “immeasurable” contributions to wrestling:

The wrestling world has lost a true legend. His contributions to our business are immeasurable and for that I am appreciative.

Thank you, Hulk Hogan.

Hogan’s NWO stablemate Kevin Nash, who was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame along with Hogan in 2020, wrote:

I lost another brother. Icon doesn’t even touch it. Rest in power my friend. NWO 4 Life….and beyond

Shawn Michaels, who wrestled against Hogan in one of his last high profile WWE singles matches at SummerSlam 2005, wrote:

A legend. A larger-than-life presence. Hulk Hogan didn’t just work in this business… he transformed it.

Rest in peace, Hulkster.

AEW’s Chris Jericho reflected on working with Hogan in both WCW and WWE earlier in his career:

When I started in WCW, I had the pleasure of meeting one of my childhood heroes, then years later in WWE, I had a blast with him entertaining millions…the same way he had entertained me for many years.

Thank you for everything Hulkster…you paved the way for all of us. Please Say your prayers and eat your vitamins everybody….you just never know.

Fellow WWE Hall of Famer, and former rival of Hogan back in WCW, Sting wrote:

HULK HOGAN – THE GREATEST OF ALL Can’t thank you enough for all that you did for me and for wrestling fans all over the world.

I loved you and I will miss you. My friend, Terry Bollea, RIP

Kurt Angle, who was famously the first star to make Hogan tap out in WWE back in 2002, wrote:

R.I.P Hulkster, thank you for opening up doors for so many people in the business including myself.

There would not be a Kurt Angle, without the American Made, Hulk Hogan.

My heart and prayers go out to his family. We lost a real icon today.

Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone, who famously worked with Hulk Hogan on Rocky III, shared a tribute via Instagram:

I had the pleasure of meeting this brilliant personality and showman when he was 26 years old.

He was absolutely wonderful and his amazing skill made Rocky three incredibly special.

My heart breaks. I think that he’s gone…

While he didn’t comment publicly on Hogan’s death, Current Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena did take to Instagram to share a picture of Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant’s iconic in-ring clash at WrestleMania III (see below).

Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was also among those to comment on Hogan’s passing – follow this link for his full comments.

We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends and fans of Terry Bollea aka Hulk Hogan at this time.
