Since Triple H took over WWE creative back in July, many former NXT stars that had not been previously booked on the main roster were given an opportunity.
Names such as Dakota Kai, Bronson Reed, Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis have made their debuts on the WWE main roster since Triple H took over.
There are many current NXT stars that are being groomed for future runs on the WWE main roster, such as current NXT Champion Bron Breakker.
Many fans expect Breakker to make his way up to WWE’s main roster after WrestleMania, but if you ask Ric Flair, that’s not soon enough.
Speaking on his To Be The Man podcast, Flair questioned why Breakker is not on the main roster yet, and speculated that he is well paid because Tony Khan would ‘pay him a fortune’.
He said:
“I can’t believe he’s not on the main roster yet. Every time I see Rick (Steiner), I go, ‘What the hell?’ He goes, ‘I don’t know,’ because he’s been there a while.
“Sometimes when you’re such an integral part of the show, they don’t wanna let them go. But I’m assuming they’re taking care of him financially because Tony would pay him a fortune.”
Breakker has wrestled two matches on WWE’s main roster, the first on the Raw after WrestleMania 38 last year, and recently on WWE Main Event.
Breakker seems set to defend the NXT Championship against Carmelo Hayes at NXT Stand & Deliver over WrestleMania weekend.
