Ric Flair Discusses Possibility Of In Ring Return

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has discussed the possibility of him making a return to the ring in the future.

Flair’s last official match took place in September 2011 for TNA (IMPACT). According to the 16-time World Champion, he ‘absolutely’ could step into a ring again.

Speaking on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, Flair argued that he’s currently in better shape than he was when he wrestled on the final episode of WCW Nitro in 2001, noting:

“Most assuredly, and a lot of conversation. That talk hasn’t happened, but could I do it? Absolutely. I’m in better shape now than I was when Sting and I wrestled the last match on Nitro. WWE won’t let me do anything, even though I’m released. I understand, they have so much liability and I told them I would sign anything, but nobody wants me to die on their watch. I’d rather die in the ring. If I have to go. I’d rather not jump off the 19th floor or spend another 31 days in the ICU.”

Following his WWE departure on August 3, Flair made an appearance for AAA at TripleMania on August 14. At the event, Flair accompanied Andrade El Idolo to the ring for his bout against Kenny Omega, even getting physical with Omega and Konnan. Flair also made an appearance at NWA 73, thanking several WWE names for their support.

In September, the ‘Plane Ride from Hell’ episode of Dark Side of the Ring saw allegations made against Flair resurface. Flair has since issued two statements denying the allegations made against him.
