Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has revealed what he was doing when the WWE Royal Rumble 2023 premium live event took place.
Amid uncertainty surrounding The Rock’s status for WrestleMania 39, there was a lot of speculation that the Hollywood star would make his return at the January 28 show.
Some even predicted that The Rock would win the Royal Rumble match during a surprise appearance.
The Rock ultimately didn’t show up, and Cody Rhodes won the Rumble match, not the Great One.
The former WWE Champion has taken to Instagram to reveal that he was working ‘all night’ ahead of the XFL launch.
The XFL season officially kicks off on February 18, with several games to take place in Texas that weekend.
Sharing a possibly metaphorical video of himself enjoying a beverage on his balcony and shutting the door, The Rock captioned the post:
Worked all Saturday night, hopped on the bird at 4am and the eagle just landed to a chilly and blessed Sunday morning
🦅 🛬 🥶 ☀️ ☕️
I think I’ll sleep next month 💤 🤪
Gonna hit the gym and get my mental inventory going 🧠 ☑️
Then I’m all yours TEXAS.
Let’s get to work.
