Pro Wrestling Illustrated has now revealed its annual PWI 500 list for 2022.
Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns took the top spot this year. This is the second time that the Tribal Chief has topped the PWI 500, with Reigns also awarded the #1 spot in 2016. Reigns had taken home the #2 spot in the 2021 list.
The Tribal Chief has had an excellent year since the 2021 list, notably defeating Brock Lesnar to unify the Universal and WWE titles at WrestleMania 38 in April.
NJPW’s Kazuchika Okada received the runner-up position this year. The highest rated AEW talent on the list was CM Punk in third place.
Notable omissions from the top 10 include former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Shingo Takagi.
Here’s the top 10 of the PWI 500 2022:
- Roman Reigns
- Kazuchika Okada
- CM Punk
- Hangman Page
- Bobby Lashley
- Cody Rhodes
- Bryan Danielson
- Hijo Del Vikingo
- Big E
- Jonathan Gresham
