WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns’ WrestleMania Backlash opponent was possibly revealed during Friday’s SmackDown tapings (spoilers ahead).
WWE taped next week’s edition of SmackDown following the April 22 live episode, at the MVP Arena in Albany, NY.
During the taping, Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro came face to face with SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos for a contract signing, ahead of their Winner Takes All bout at WrestleMania Backlash.
As expected, the segment got physical, with a brawl eventually breaking out. The fight ended with Drew McIntyre coming out to confront Reigns, before launching the WWE Universal Champion across the ring with a huge belly-to-belly suplex.

Reigns and McIntyre have been regularly facing off against one another in dark matches and at house shows since early March, with the two stars most recently going one-on-one during last Sunday’s (April 17) Sunday Stunner live event.
WWE has been known to test out rivalries on the house show circuit before bringing them to TV, and it seems that the company is finally pulling the trigger on a Reigns vs McIntyre main event feud.
