It’s looking increasingly likely that Ronda Rousey will finish her first run with WWE after competing at this year’s WrestleMania against Charlotte Flair and probably Becky Lynch.
It has now been noted that Ronda isn’t advertised for any shows after WrestleMania other than the post-WrestleMania Raw at the Barclays Center.
She is also not scheduled for any live event appearances after March 17, possibly indicating that she is winding down, or simply that she is rehearsing her match with Becky and Charlotte at ‘Mania.
Ronda has signed a multi-year contract with WWE, but unlike many other stars signed to the company, Ronda has the option to pick and choose when she wrestles and for how long. It’s safe to say she will probably return in the near future, but it does look like the sun is setting on her first run.
Rousey has indicated before that she has plans to start a family in the near future, but it isn’t known whether that’s her reason for leaving.
Speaking to ESPNW in an interview, Rousey said:
“I’ve not kept it a secret that I would definitely want to start a family. But how do you go about doing that? I love this way more than I thought that I would. So do you just keep going until you just happen to get pregnant? Or should you stop and go try and get pregnant? Or is going and trying to get pregnant putting yourself on the spot and then you’re less likely to get pregnant? I’ve never had a baby before, I don’t know these kinds of things.”
