Initially, one of the more surprising firings in the mass releases of April 2020 was former United States Champion Rusev.
However, when you think about it, the release does make sense as Rusev had not yet signed a new WWE deal, so it seemed like he was considering leaving the company anyway.
Rusev is incredibly charismatic and can be a fantastic babyface or heel. He has the potential to be a main eventer and future World Champion in whatever company he decides to work for next following his WWE release.
On Lana (CJ Perry’s) latest YouTube video, the pair introduced us to their brand new dog, Pickles. However, perhaps the most interesting thing to come from the video was the reveal of Rusev’s new ring name.
The pair have been calling themselves Lana and Miro, and it was confirmed on the YouTube video that Rusev (real name Miroslav Barnyashev) will be using the name Miro following his WWE release.
Rusev will be able to move to any promotion next month following the expiration of his 90-day non-compete clause, so expect to see Miro tearing it up at shows before too long.
