Sami Zayn has broken character to share an emotional message after a horrifying botch left Big E with a broken neck that could have been much worse.
Taking to Twitter earlier today, Big E revealed that in conversation with his doctor, he learned exactly how close to death or permanent disability he was after suffering a broken neck at the c1 vertebrae.
Now Sami Zayn has shared a message with E, replying to his earlier Tweet:
“It’s a miracle just to be alive. Grateful for the chance to have this short time together, sharing the ring, sharing stories, and sharing laughs.”
The gesture marks a subtle but notable break from Zayn’s current obnoxious heel persona which currently sees the SmackDown star embroiled in a bitter rivalry with Jackass star, Johnny Knoxville.
Perhaps Zayn had to take to Twitter to share his regards to Big E as last week Knoxville chartered a plane to fly a plane over Los Angeles with a banner featuring Sami’s phone number which has become a running gag on Sami’s Twitter account as he posts screenshots of the number of missed calls, texts, and re-tweeting a fan, shocked he actually answered their FaceTime call.
It’s a miracle just to be alive.
