Former WWE Tag Team Champion Samu Anoa’i has revealed that he has signed a new contract with WWE.
On Facebook, Samu shared a photo of himself with his papers. The former in-ring talent has provided some clarification on his new agreement, telling The Daily Item that he has signed a ‘nostalgia contract’.
Happy to be back with WWE, Samu said:
“I am truly honored to return to the company in which has been my family since I was born. I am also happy for the wrestling fans of Sunbury and surrounding areas who have always welcomed me, my family, my brother Afa and son Lance with open arms. I have made several friends who are now family to me and that is priceless.”
Samu notably wrestled for WWE in the mid 1990s, winning tag team gold alongside Fatu in 1994.
WWE has offered a number of legends/nostalgia contracts in recent months, with The Boogeyman announcing his new deal in December, and Jerry Lawler reportedly signing a two-year deal in the same month.
