Saraya Reflects On Winning AEW Women’s World Championship At All In London AEW

Saraya has reflected on winning the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW All In London.

At AEW All In, Saraya defeated Toni Storm, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. and Hikaru Shida in a four-way match to win the AEW Women’s World Championship.

The win was notable since it happened in front of AEW’s largest audience ever in Saraya’s home country of England at London’s Wembley Stadium with her family present to celebrate her win in the ring.

In a new interview with Women’s Wrestling Talk, Saraya was asked to talk about how she sees her championship reign playing out after her AEW All In London victory. She replied:

“Hopefully long and entertaining for everybody. I mean, I don’t know where it’s gonna go. I don’t know if I’ll lose it in a week’s time. I don’t know.”

“But I’m just really happy that after nine years I never thought I would ever hold a championship again. I never thought I would wrestle again.”

“And so yeah, just having that moment in Wembley in the UK where I’m from. It’s just, it was special. So, it can end tomorrow and I’ll be happy that I had that moment.”

Saraya will make her first defense of the AEW Women’s World Championship on September 20 at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam 2023 at New York’s Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Her opponent will be decided by a four-way eliminator match between Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., Hikaru Shida, Nyla Rose and Toni Storm on tonight’s September 13 episode of AEW Dynamite.

WrestleTalk will provide updates and news from tonight’s Dynamite when they become available.
