Former WWE Star Returns To In-Ring Action WWE

A former WWE star has returned to in-ring action in Japan.

In March, Sareee, formerly known as Sarray, announced that she had opted to leave WWE following the expiration of her contract with the company.

After this news, the former NXT star announced that she would making her return to in-ring action in Japan at a special show named after her entitled, “Sareee-ism” on May 16.

At today’s show, Sareee lost a 20 minute battle against Chihiro Hashimoto in the main event.

This marked her first match since August 2022 when she lost to Mandy Rose on the August 2 episode of WWE NXT.

Here’s a rundown of what happened on the May 9 episode of NXT:

Mark Coffey & Wolfgang def. The Dyad to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship after distractions on the outside including a brawl between Ava and Ivy Nile

Ilja Dragunov def. Dijak via DQ when Dijak attacked Dragunov with a steel chair and continued the attack post-match

Charlie Dempsey w/Drew Gulak def. Tyler Bate w/Wes Lee after Joe Gacy came out and punched Bate

Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen def. Hank Walker & Tank Ledger

Lyra Valkyria def. Kiana James in the NXT Women’s Championship tournament

Bron Breakker def. Trick Williams, then continued to attack Williams post-match before Carmelo Hayes tried to make the save, but Breakker laid him out as well
