UPDATE: The latest on Seth Rollins’ injury suffered on WWE Raw is that he’ll be undergoing an MRI scan shortly to determine its severity.
Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio said:
“I just know he’s getting an MRI and then we’ll find out. Basically I was told it could be something minor, could be something worse. We won’t know until the MRI result comes back.”
Seth Rollins reportedly suffered a legitimate injury during his match against Jinder Mahal on the January 15 episode of WWE Raw.
The match, which was the main event of the show, saw Rollins retain his title over Mahal despite ringside distractions including Indus-Sher, Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre.
However, as reported by PWTorch, there’s some potentially bad news as Rollins sustained an injury.
The report notes that Rollins injured his left leg late on during the match.
It seemingly happened on a dive to the outside, after which Rollins continued on and performed several moves, including the Pedigree and the stomp, which might have made it worse.
Rollins was helped to the back, but was said to “eventually” be able to put weight on the injured leg and was walking on his own – albeit with a limp.
He’s set to receive further evaluation from WWE to determine the severity of the injury.
We wish Seth Rollins all the best, and we’ll continue to keep you posted with additional details as they emerge.
