Shawn Michaels Says Everyone Is Excited There’s More Synergy Between NXT & Main Roster Now WWE

Shawn Michaels says that everyone is excited that there is more synergy between NXT and the main roster now.

The wrestling world is still reeling from the news of Vince McMahon announcing his retirement in July.

The company has seen major shakeups with Triple H being named Head of Creative and Shawn Michaels being promoted to WWE’s senior vice president of talent development creative.

In the past, NXT call-ups would flounder when they moved to the main roster with performers often repackaged and/or renamed.

Speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show, Michaels was asked whether it’s more of a straight line from NXT to the main roster now after Triple H has taken over.

He said:

“Absolutely, yeah. We say that’s where the synergy is. There’s certainly, I would say it’s no secret to anybody that there’s a huge uplift in morale, from top to bottom in the WWE, whether it’s Raw, SmackDown, or NXT, everybody’s very excited for the future. Look, I’ll say this, the one thing that was always really positive in NXT and again, the positive about all these other former athletes that come in, they were already excited and focused and ready to go. Now we’ve just made sure that we’ve topped that off and everybody from top to bottom, roster-wise, is excited about the future. All of us working there are equally as excited because we all know that we’re pulling the rope in the same direction.”

As previously reported, Shawn Michaels named the NXT star that he feels would fit in a modern DX.
