Shawn Michaels Names NXT Star Who Would Fit In A Modern DX WWE

A WWE Hall of Famer has named the NXT stars who would fit in a modern D-Generation X.

On the October 10 season premiere edition of WWE Raw, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Sean “X-Pac” Waltman and Road Dogg Brian James will reunite as DX on the show from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

With Shawn Michaels’ role as WWE’s senior vice president of talent development creative, he would be the perfect person to make a modern DX with some of the young stars.

Speaking with Graham Matthews of Wrestlerant Radio, Michaels was asked what NXT stars he would put in a modern version of the group.

HBK answered:

“Right now honestly, the first one who pops in my head is someone like a Grayson Waller from a NXT standpoint. You know, I like Grayson. I think he just has a ton of personality. I like Carmelo Hayes a little bit too, but he’s almost too cool for DX. He’s a mature young man for his age. Grayson is a little bit, he likes to have a little bit more fun and is a little bit more loose. So the first one that jumps up from the top of my head is Grayson Waller.”

Grayson Waller posted this portion of the interview on social media, which you can see below.

Waller is currently feuding with Apollo Crews on WWE NXT, while Carmelo Hayes will compete in the five-way North American Championship Ladder Match at Halloween Havoc on October 22.
