Shinsuke Nakamura To Defend WWE US Title Against Jeff Hardy At SummerSlam

It has been announced via Twitter that WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura will defend his title against Jeff Hardy at SummerSlam on August 19.

The ‘King of Strong Style’ defeated Hardy for the US gold at Extreme Rules last month, after he delivered a low blow to the ‘Charismatic Enigma’ before the match had even started.

It was straight after that match however, that things got even more interesting. Randy Orton returned after two months on the shelf and shockingly attacked Hardy before simply walking away, completely ignoring Nakamura’s existence.

Two nights later on SmackDown Live, Jeff and Shinsuke battled in the former’s contractual rematch. This bout was cut short as Orton brutally assaulted the ‘Daredevil’ again, and did that really disgusting ear-twisty thing.

This past Tuesday, both Orton and Nakamura attacked Hardy who was cutting a promo in the ring. This has fueled speculation that the ‘Viper’ could potentially be added to this SummerSlam affair.
