Last night on Raw, it was confirmed that Riddle, Keith Lee and AJ Styles will have a triple threat match on next week’s show, with the winner of that going on to face Drew McIntyre at TLC next month.
The match was booked after Riddle, Keith Lee and AJ Styles, all of whom were part of the men’s Raw team at Survivor Series, beat Sheamus, Bobby Lashley and Randy Orton respectively in singles matches.
Despite not being slated to be part of the triple threat match next week, Dave Meltzer is reporting that the plan yesterday saw Braun Strowman challenging Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at TLC.
Speaking on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer explained that he was told McIntyre & Strowman would main event TLC. However, he did note that plans may have been postponed to the Royal Rumble after seeing last night’s Raw.
Some have speculated that Braun Strowman could attack one of the particpants in the match ahead of time and insert himself into the triple threat clash next week, so it’s possible the match still takes place at TLC.
Make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for any potential updates on what WWE has planned for the TLC pay-per-view, and even the Royal Rumble for that matter.
